ABOUT GeHaKT
The Dutch segment of this website is devoted to the GeHaKT visual project, which aims to document the Flemish landscape and its inhabitants.
On the English pages, you can explore selected works by Geert Huysman, the founder of GeHaKT. Geert is a freelance photographer and writer based in Ghent, with over three decades of experience in the world of words and images.
As a journalist, he has previously collaborated with renowned publishing houses such as Uitgeverij Het Volk, Uitgeverij Cascade, De Persgroep, and Sanoma Magazines. Since 2009, he has also been actively engaged as a photography lecturer, notably at the Thomas More Institute, the largest university of applied sciences in Flanders.
